| Patrice Bihina-Parade |
Patrice Bihina-Parade was born in Cameroon, West Africa, to a French mother and Cameroonian father. At age 13 he was sent to Paris and introduced to the French culture. As a young adult, Patrice worked in hotels, restaurants, and bars throughout Paris. In 1999, he moved to New York and became deeply involved in its nightlife while studying for a degree in entrepreneurship and small business management. Equipped with passion and knowledge, Patrice aspired to recreate the truest and most distinctive of his diverse roots. Drawing upon his memories of the warmth of native Cameroon and his cultural experience in France, especially that of the delicatesse and savoir vivre, he sought to establish a truly singular and welcoming venue in Manhattan’s downtown scene. In March 2007 he opened Boucarou Lounge, an unparalleled tribute to his mixed origins. |
